A friend recommended Bhakta Builders to me.  She had used them too.  Initially I asked them to fit a kitchen and to do some tiling.  I was so pleased with them I asked them to do some more work – a living room, bedroom, stairway and landing.

These are the best builders I have ever used – and we have tried a few over the years in this and previous houses.  They are friendly, clean and considerate.  They are reliable and trustworthy. They work hard, putting in a full days work.  In matter of doubt they are helpful – excellent communications.  They helped me with design.  They helped me to save materials, time and money.

Our house is old – built in 1850.  There were problems with very uneven floors, walls and ceilings.  George and his team helped me to ensure a very good level of finish: far better than I had hoped for.

I must also note that George and his team are friendly and considerate.  They cleaned up after themselves – no empty cans, mugs or cigarette butts or smoke!  George himself is approachable, tactful, eager to please and do a good job, at an excellent standard and for a very fair price.  I have already recommended Bhakta builders to a number of friends and I hope to use them again in the very near future.

Past experience has shown me that builders don't necessarily get my ideas even when given a well drawn out plan of a design.  So speaking as a 3d artist I was particularly appreciative of Vladimir’s good communication skills around discussing what could be done design wise, with the space.

While the building work was in progress the builders kept their materials as much as possible out of my way so that I could still move about in my flat, which I appreciated particularly as a blind person.  I noted that if Vladimir had to leave ladders and things about he let me know where he had left them.   This was particularly important Living in a small living space.  In short I found Bhakta builders consiencious as affecting both the standard of work and the way they worked.  In short the antithesis of your usual cowboys!

I employed Bhakta Builders to undertake deep repair on the exterior walls of my house, as well as extensive general refurbishment, because I had seen examples of their work at several neighbours’ properties.  I found them to be a pleasure to work with as they are very attentive, keen to advise and to explain their solution to problems, and to keep the client updated on the progress of the work.  I also found them to be personable and trustworthy, and scrupulously honest when it came to pricing the work and using quality materials.

The men they employ are thorough, careful and tidy and the company evidently believes in doing a good job as quickly as possible without compromising the quality of their work, as they understand how disruptive building and repairs can be.  They appear to have a number of excellent specialists on hand to call upon depending upon the skills required for each job.

I also found them to be adaptable – on painting the cornice, they looked over the parapet and found the roof to be in urgent need of structural work, so they extended the job, without the disruption of a delay and whilst the scaffolding was still helpfully in situ, to include a major overhaul of the roof brickwork and the chimney stack, a large and unscheduled undertaking .

As you can tell, I am very pleased with Bhakta for making my house structurally sound and transforming  her - from looking tired and neglected she is now quite a stunner!

I contacted Bhakta after seeing a sample of his work in my friend’s house that I thought was really good. Bhakta were really quick to make an appointment to come and see the work that needed to be done and prepared a fully priced quote outlining all the work I had detailed during their visit.
